Sponsor the Mid City Minute

Every Friday morning, more than 500 Mid City Baton Rouge neighbors open the Minute and read about what is happening on their own blocks: the new spot on Government Street, the Saturday market, the house that just listed around the corner, the volunteer shift that needs hands. That is your audience, and for $50 you can be in front of all of them this week.

The numbers

  • 500+ views every single week, consistently, all year

  • 52 to 55% open rate on every issue in 2026, well above the typical local email benchmark

  • 79% of readers live in Louisiana, concentrated in and around Mid City Baton Rouge

  • 127 consecutive weekly issues since launch, published every Friday

Readers are the neighbors who decide where to eat Friday night, which contractor to call, and which fundraiser to show up for. They read the Minute because it is written by someone who lives here too.

What a sponsorship includes

Your business gets a full-width banner in the body of the newsletter, placed between the Mid City News and Upcoming Events sections, the two most-read parts of every issue. The banner links wherever you want it to go, with a tracked link so you can see the clicks. Send finished artwork or send your logo and offer and the banner gets built for you. Sponsor banners are clearly labeled, and after your run you get a short performance note with views and clicks. Here is what it looks like in a live issue:

Example placement from the October 16 issue. The highlighted banner is the sponsor slot, and it runs between Mid City News and Upcoming Mid City Events every week.

Pricing

  • $50 per week (one edition)

  • $175 per month (four editions, save $25)

One sponsor per issue, so you share the inbox with no one. Nonprofits and neighborhood associations can request a free Community Line for dated events; just send the details.

A note on editorial

Editorial coverage of local businesses, openings, and events runs on its own merits. A sponsorship buys the sponsor block and nothing more. That policy is what keeps the open rate where it is, and it is what makes your placement worth paying for.
